Oceanside Friends of the Arts and First Friday Art Walk
presents Art Scholarships to the Oceanside community
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
High School Grad with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Support documentation from high school art teacher.
Accepted to or attending an accredited college or university.
Major declared in Visual or Performing Arts.
Documented proof of the above along with a brief explanation of why you deserve the scholarship.

Oceanside Friends of the Arts is the proud producer of First Friday Art Walk. Proceeds benefit Oceanside Friends of the Arts’ commitment to enhance, encourage and support the arts related activities for the Oceanside Community including scholarships for local students. We are a nonprofit 501[c]3. Tax ID 81-2397930.
We want to keep Oceanside as a main cultural destination of the arts for our residents and out of town visitors. We offer local artists a place to show and sell their artwork, to hear and play music, to explore and keep alive the creative side of life. OFOA has a strong commitment to give back to our youth through scholarships and Grants. Last year we gave out two $500 Scholarships to two wonderful students pursuing art in their college curriculum. We are excited to be able to do the same gift this year.
We encourage all forms of 2d, 3d, Graphic Arts, Dance, Theater and Music to apply. To be considered for this award please include the following information no more than 2 pages long.
Name, mailing address, email, phone number, and school you are graduating from. ( save your Documents in a PDF file)
Course work in the arts.
Any outside activities to pursuing the arts.
Recommendation from your teacher of the Arts.
How would this Scholarship award help you?
A short video of your Art. No longer than 3 minutes showcasing your work or take photos of your best works no more than 5 pictures . Use your phone and select med size.
Name of College you are accepted to.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICANTS: June 15th 2019
The board will vote and make a decision for your award by June July 1st 2019.
