“Live Through Your Eyes”

Donald Pallia is an artist with many facets. Always interested in creative expression, he pulled from his experiences in engineering and art training for his inspirations’.  You will find him using metal, ceramics, wood and canvas for his paintings.  Each media inspires a different subject matter.  His current Fine Art media is acrylics on canvas for its drying time and flexibility over Oil.  

 “My paintings always have a sense of whimsy either in the subject matter or the title”.  Don paints Wine Art; Decorative Art; Garden Art and Figurative subjects in a minimalist style.  He has studied under Susan Sprigg, Lorenzo, and Heather Roddy.

 In 2010 Don, joined the Sergeant Art Group; he has exhibited and sold his art in over 26 Southern California venues such as the San Diego Museum Artist League; Carlsbad/Oceanside art gallery; Oceanside Museum Artist Alliance and the Redlands Art Association. Don is currently represented by the Del Mar Art Center Gallery.  

As a founder of the Oceanside Art Walk he started the monthly tradition of artist exhibiting in Artist Alley which has grown to monthly exhibits in Downtown Oceanside.

Prior to his Fine Arts, he produced and directed several Television shows about Space Exploration aired on the Discovery Channel. “Space Station-The Next Step” was purchased by the Department-Of-State for viewing in Embassies World Wide.  These shows have been shown in the Science Museum of Charlotte, North Carolina, the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in Giengen/Brenz Germany and at the Eugenides Planetarium, Athens Greece to name a few.   

Don has produced Planetarium shows for the University of Redlands, Redlands California, the Hansen Planetarium, Salt Lake City, Utah and several Musical concerts for the Redlands Bowl.  

Don next exhibits at the Brooks Theater in Oceanside starting May 3 and at the Festival of the Sea in the Maritime Museum, San Diego Harbor over Memorial Day Holiday Week-end.
